What a brilliant week we have had as part of our World Book Day celebrations! Children and staff took part in a range of activities aimed at promoting a love of reading.

We were lucky enough to have access to a Book Fair, which allowed a lot of children to take home some of their favourite books. 

On Wednesday, we were joined by the amazing West-End Book workshop, who took classes on a journey of dance, based on a few different books, including The Lorax!

On Friday, children were encouraged to dress in pyjamas or dress as their favourite characters. From Wallace and Gromit to Harry Potter - we saw some truly brilliant ideas!

Throughout the week, children from all classes were also given a chance to read with a younger or older year group. Year 6 took the opportunity in the sun to meet their reception buddies and read to them. Year 5 and Year 1 shared some of their favourite stories with their friends.
